Marsala Oro Superiore Riserva 1988 DOC

Marsala Superiore Oro Riserva DOC

100% Grillo

Following the evolutionary logic of the region’s historical winemaking tradition, Marco began the production of “his” Marsala Superiore. Boasting a very complex array of aromas and scents, it is conceived and crafted in respect of its “natural” tradition, fortified with a mistelle produced from fresh must and brandy obtained from the same grapes used for the base wine.

Curiosities

Marsala Superiore Riserva 1988 is an encounter between past and future, where time is the absolute protagonist.
This Marsala is the result of a tradition that has never stopped, a wine born from 100% Grillo, but with an unbreakable bond to Sicily and its historical roots.

The natural mistelle, made with fresh must and brandy from the same grape variety, gives the wine a unique complexity that grows over the years. Aged for over 35 years in oak and chestnut barrels, the 1988 stands out for its austere elegance and its semi-dry profile.

With notes of ripe fruit, walnuts, and a saline trail, the 1988 is the Marsala that breaks with traditional sweetness, revealing its authenticity. Perfect with blue cheeses or sophisticated desserts, it is the wine that tells the story of Sicily like no other.
